I took this picture of my grandfather, Poppy, during the 2020 quarantine. The photo captured his personality exactly, and I knew it would make a great, personable piece of art.
I chose to use colored pencils for this piece because of the amount of detail I can obtain with this medium and the control I have over the pencils.
Next year, I plan to go into my first semester of college, majoring in studio art. My goal is to have my own studio and gallery someday.
