ProPublica education writer Marian Wang announced last week that she’s joining the team at HBO’s Last Week Tonight. As you may recall, the John Oliver-hosted HBO show came to many education folks’ attention with its viral take on Common Core.

Last year’s hire Heather Vogell remains at the site. But they’re already looking for someone new to replace Marian, so send them your ideas here. They’ve already replaced race and inequality reporter Nikole Hannah-Hones with Topher Sanders.

I’ve been hot and cold on the nonprofit outlet’s education coverage, but I’m pretty much always glad they’re out there doing what they do.
