Preparing students to enter the workforce and attracting and retaining good teachers are Americans’ top educational priorities for the next administration in Washington, regardless of who wins the presidential election, the 2024 PDK Poll finds. A majority of Americans would support a candidate who favors increased funding for public schools and considers education an important factor in their vote. But they would not support their own child becoming a teacher. The poll also asked about AI use in schools and public involvement in schools.
