While walking through the Manzanar National Historic Site and thinking about the Japanese Americans incarcerated during World War II, I was struck by this animated form in an otherwise desolate space.
The work is infrared photography, printed on aluminum (20 x 30 inches). Recently, I’ve been incorporating fibers into my photography and thinking about how my work translates to a digital medium such as virtual galleries and publications.
