The medium is scratchboard, a material that can be scratched into to reveal a white surface. I chose it because it allows for showing small details and realistic images.
Most of my artworks include my family members as subjects, so it felt fitting that I create a piece with my dog as the focus. I went through some photos of her and found a close-up that I liked and used that as my model.
