The American Federation of Teachers has put together a set of resources to help educators respond to the opioid crisis. Among the resources are information on using naloxone for treating overdoses and links to treatment and recovery resources. Also available is a free online course, developed by Harvard Medical School, that helps educators understand opioid addiction, recognize risk factors for addiction, identify signs of overdose and respond, and support those who need treatment or are in recovery.
