Day at the Vineyard

This is a monoprint, using block printing ink on black paper. I wanted to create a picture that captured the feeling of a nice day, so I started from a photo that I took at a vineyard. It had a lot of vibrant colors, and the angle at which the sun was hitting the warm-colored architecture complemented the cool-colored background.

As a senior, next year, I will continue to build my portfolio through our high school art program. I have a strong desire to pursue a career in an art-related field, and I plan to continue expanding my academic and artistic horizons at the college level.
