I created this work to represent a personal hardship. I was quarantined, and my mind was going 100 miles an hour, but I wanted to show that even when things are chaotic, life can still be orderly. The hoops represent the solid structures in life, such as having regular routines or making a daily schedule. The collages represent the chaos, or the disorganization.
I chose to make smaller collages because I am most comfortable with them, and I knew I could find a unique way to display them. When I needed materials, instructors would drop them at my door so I could continue to work during my quarantine.
My plans for future artwork include revamping my art. My pieces from a few years ago have worn down in some places, but other parts have stayed in great condition, so I am going to put them together in a montage to make a memory piece of my four years in the Pleasant Grove art program.
